v0.9.2

<p>The cache and History's deploy key move out of data/storage into data/cache and data/git.</p>

19 October 2026

Changed

  • data/storage/ holds only the site's working state: the registry, locks and rate limits. It is rebuilt or only held for the moment, so it is never backed up.
  • Compiled views, the fragment cache, the admin's thumbnails and Clockwork's profiles live in data/cache/. It is made again as it is used, is never backed up or shared between releases, and cache:clear empties it. PageFiles::$storagePath is now $cachePath.
  • History's deploy key and known_hosts live in data/git/.
  • backup:create copies pages, users and git, each collection's database, and env.json and env.cli.json. backup:restore puts them back, empties the cache and ignores a storage/ folder in an older backup.
  • db:backup saves collection databases only, to backups/{timestamp} in the project root by default, since every other database can be rebuilt.
  • deploy.php and phlat/examples/deploy.example.php share data/git and leave data/cache unshared, so each release starts with its own cache. The post-deploy cache:fragments task is gone.
  • health:check and health:disk cover data/git and data/cache.
  • .gitignore ignores /data/cache, /data/git and /backups.
  • backup:create skips the database step on a site with no collections.
